About us

Theopsya is a french melodic metal band. The project was born in Toulouse (France) in 2006, at this time, playing heavy metal with strong melodic parts is the band's main will.
A demo has been recorded in 2007 with a first line up. Few times later, some members left the band and Theopsya finally has to split for a while.

In 2010, Theopsya has been rebuild and came to find with the time a constant line up, now composed with Manon Civial (singer), Adrien Salado (guitars), Rémy Alarcon (bass), Julien Badier (keys) and Julien Commerenc (guitars). Theopsya original influences and style are changing with a writing style less classic heavy metal oriented but mixing death and progressives influences while keeping the melodic roots layed by the former members.

The band played several local shows in 2011 and especially reach the Emergenza Finale contest in june at "le Bikini" and took part to the Female Metal Show in Toulouse. Late 2011, in partnership with "Les sons du silence", the band released a 7 tracks EP called "Tales of an Angel". Theopsya played many shows out of it's hometown between 2011 and 2013 like in Bordeaux or Lyon alongside amazing bands such as Gravity, Whyzdom or the norvegians of Leprous recently.

Today the band is working on new materials in order to release its first album that is planned late 2014. More infos on our  Facebook page. Stay tuned !
